Privacy Policy

What we collect

What you give us: your name and email, the goal you set, the body metrics behind your targets, and the equipment you train with. What you create: your split, the sessions you log, the food you type, your weight entries and progress photos — plus any program you bring in, whether that is a pasted plan, a photo, a PDF or a CSV export. What your device reports: your time zone, a push notification token if you allow notifications, and basic device and usage information.

How it’s used

To run the accountability engine: grading your days, applying strikes, moving your weights, and printing your weekly receipt. Aggregate usage data tells us which parts of the app work. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

AI processing

Three things reach Anthropic, our AI provider. The food text you type, so it can estimate calories and macros. Any written program you import — text, photo or PDF — so we can read the days and lifts out of it. And the figures behind your daily line and weekly receipt, so the coach can write about the week you actually had. Verdicts, grades and strikes are decided by fixed rules, never by the AI. Your data is not used to train third-party models.

Food lookups

When you enter a barcode we check our own cache of product panels first, and if the code is new we ask two public food databases for it: the USDA’s FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. We send the code and nothing about you. A CSV export you import is read on your device and never leaves it.

Storage and security

Data is stored with Supabase, on Postgres with row-level security — the database itself refuses to return another account’s rows. Progress photos live in private storage only you can reach. Data is encrypted in transit.

Where it is processed

Obsessed runs on infrastructure in the United States, and the providers named on this page process data there. If you use the app from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US.

Analytics and crash reporting

We use PostHog for product analytics — behavioral events only, never your food text, injury explanations, notes, or photos. Crash reports are collected via Sentry.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by the app store you bought through — Apple today. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We never see or store your card details.

Data deletion

Delete your account in the app under Profile → Danger Zone, or email support@obsessed.fitness from your account email. Deleting your account removes your personal data from live systems within 30 days; encrypted backups age out within 90. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — cancel that in your store’s subscription settings.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active — the receipts are the product. Records we are legally required to keep, like transaction history, are kept only as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it — email support@obsessed.fitness from your account email. Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA), you may also have rights to portability and to complain to your local regulator. We don’t sell personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top changes with it. For anything material — a new provider, a new category of data, a new use — we will say so in the app before it takes effect.

Age

Obsessed is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 — if we learn we have, we delete it.
